Book review: Hold Me Closer, Necromancer
Hold Me Closer, Necromancer
By Lish McBride
Sam is your average college drop-out working a fast-food job until the day that Douglas walks through the burger joint’s doors. Douglas is angry (about a potato hockey mishap) and also happens to be a necromancer with the power to raise the dead. Definitely not the kind of person you want to upset. He recognizes similar powers in Sam (who is totally clueless) and decides that the city is too small for the both of them.
With the help of his friends, including one who ends up a talking head in a bowling bag, Sam must find a way to tap into his powers and defeat Douglas and his evil minions in a only a week. It’s not going to be easy (although being locked in a cage with a hot werewolf/fairy hybrid isn’t all bad) but it makes for an excellent read.
If you like your horror or paranormal stories with lots of humor and action then this one’s for you!
